The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services has informed the town that recent testing has not shown much decrease to the levels of cyanobacteria in Showell Pond and that people and pets should remain diligent and avoid contact with the water.
The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services has removed the Cyanobacteria Lake Warning for Phillips Pond but has advised that the potential is there for a reoccurrence of the cyanobacteria blooms. The public should notify NHDES if any blooms are spotted.
Possible blooms may be developing on Lily Pond. NHDES is aware of the situation but has not issued a warning for Lily Pond at this time.
If you notice anything resembling cyanobacteria, please refrain from wading, swimming, or drinking the water. Keep all pets out of the water and contact NHDES immediately. Please call NHDES to report a cyanobacteria bloom at (603) 848-8094.
